Welcome to our chapter on Setting Re-ride Stock. We will choose Rodeo Setup > Set Re-Ride Stock.
We choose the March rodeo. It is showing us who the stock contractors are and the format of the rodeo. We can now begin to select our re-ride stock by clicking the Select Re-Ride Stock button. We'll select for Bareback.
You don't have to choose the event as the list of stock is all sorted by event and animal name. Select the stock animal and click the button to set for performance one and click Save. Set another stock animal for performance two and click Save. That sets the re-ride stock for Bareback.
Now for Bull Riding, we do the same for performance one and performance two. If you want to use the same animal for your re-ride stock for both performances, you would just need to make that same selection and choose the appropriate performance when you do this.
Now for Saddlebronc, we do the same for performance one and performance two. If you make a mistake, or if you need to make a change, you can just delete the re-ride stock assignment and replace with another.
When you set re-ride stock, these re-ride stock animals will be excluded from being drawn to an entrant for that performance, or for that go, where it is set as the re-ride stock. The list of available stock will be what you have set in Rodeo Setup > Set Stock for Draw. It will come from that list which should be the list that has been provided to you by the stock contractors. Once you are finished with making all of your re-ride stock selections, you can then move on to generate the stock draw. Note that you can perform these two operations in the reverse order as well. You can run the draw then come back here and assign re-ride stock from the remaining animals.
